US Secretary of State Antony Blinken will visit South Korea, Japan and France from January 4 to 9. This was reported by the State Department press service.

The press service specified that during his visit to the Republic of Korea, Blinken will meet with high-ranking officials with whom he will discuss ways to develop cooperation between the countries. Also during the trip, issues of promoting a “free, open and prosperous Indo-Pacific region” will be raised.

In Japan, Blinken will review with senior officials the progress of Washington -Tokyo relations in recent years and reaffirm the importance of contacts between the countries in addressing bilateral, regional and global challenges.

“In France, Secretary Blinken will meet with senior French officials as part of our vital partnership to address challenges in Europe, the Middle East, and beyond,” the statement said.

In mid-December, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan met with Blinken at Ankara airport . They were accompanied, among others, by Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan .

Earlier, the US spoke about the hypocrisy of Biden and Blinken on the world stage.
